I told y'all that we went to the biggest sporting goods store in the world. But, I didn't tell you that they had aquariums and a ferris wheel inside as well. Hemi and I went on the ferris wheel and to tell you the truth I was feeling kinda nervous about bein on a ferris wheel. lol.

This year, Hemi and I got to visit with my Mom and the Ten Family in Reno, NV for Thanksgiving. The pics above are when we went to the snow at Mt. Rose. It was so cool. Hemi totally loved the snow. We watched some kids have a snow board class. Then went inside for some coffee (and of course Hemi had some too!). And guess who wants to snow board? Well, Hemi of course. After we went to the snow; we went to the biggest sporting goods store in the world called Scheels. There I bought Hemi his first snowboard. Yeah, yeah I know I'm kinda crazy; but, it was a really good deal and Hemi loves it. I still have to have my mom ship it to me. lol. There was no way I could have gotten it on the plane when we came home. Also, the last pic of the sun and the mountains is probably one of the coolest pics I have ever taken.

Baking at Home

Hemi and I are making my famous Nachitoches Meat Pies. He helps me all the time in the kitchen. He is the best helper a mom could ever ask for. Today is meat pies for snack day at work. But, his favorite thing to bake is chocolate chip cookies.

Doing Yardwork

You know, Hemi helps out a lot around the house. After he mows the lawn with his daddy, he hoses off the lawn mower.

Superheros

One weekend, Hemi and his cousin Spencer were playing at the house and Hemi was, of course, in his Spiderman outfit. But, he got a brillant idea: how about a sidekick? So, Spencer got to wear the Batman costume. Lucky me, two super heros in the house.

A Summer Evening

Ok, so I came home from work one day and me and Hemi were on the front porch. Well, he thinks that he is a photographer sometimes and he actually took this picture. Notice the blur? Well, it was totally humid that day and it fogged up the camera. Then, I took a picture of him. He is actually posing for the camera. Hence the cheesy smile. By the way, in the summertime Hemi is all about some popsicles. Generally green is his favorite flavor.

Baseball Season Spring 2008

Hemi's baseball season was from April to May 2008. Here are a few pictures from then. He is ready to play some ball! And he is so hilarious, even coaches from other teams were cheering him on when he would run the bases. Oh yeah, he was the king of slides. It was inevitable that he was going to slide to home plate. Actually, he always had the most dust on his clothes of anyone on his team. He absolutely loves baseball. Which is good, cause Nate loves it too. Next year, Nate is going to coach Hemi's wee ball team. So, we are really looking forward to next season.

My Son, the Spiderman!

Okay. So, you have all heard me say that my son is into Spiderman. But, let me tell you, he is seriously into Spiderman.

July 4th Weekend

Wow! What a weekend. For starters, our neighbors (mean neighbors) finally finished the fence that blocks our house from their view. Which is awesome! Friday morning we started building flower beds around our patio. To tell you the truth, it took us til' Sunday to finish cause that is not all we did this weekend. Hemi got a new pool for the yard with, of course, some Spiderman pool toys. Saturaday night we went to our friend Tommy's for a BBQ which was nice. Nate had a good time hanging out with the boys. And Hemi, he was the entertainment. He started getting ice cubes and hitting cups like target practice. They played Playstation2 for a little bit, until Hemi started beating up Mr.Chris. They were having a blast. Today, Hemi and I got up a little early ummm around 11:30 and went to run errands. We went to ToysRus and got some Matchbox tracks that shoot cars in the air. Then, to the mall for Chinese Chicken (actually, it is Japanese Terryaki and noodles) it is his favorite dish at the mall. After that, we went to The Children's Place and Hemi picked out some clothes. A green (imagine that, his fav color) tank top and short set and some really cool swim trunks. Then, back to Lowes for a few more supplies. Got home and Nate was already working on the yard. All of our hard work has really paid off. But, now I have a dilema. I have to get up early enough to water all of those beautiful plants every morning. Hmmm. We'll see if that will happen. Hehe. I'm planning on enjoying my deck and drinking coffee every morning. Starting tommorrow! Have a good week!

4th of July

The long weekend is finally here! Yeah! We are going to be staying in town and see fireworks and visit with friends. Tonight, my nephew Ryan is in an All-Star tournament. Nate and Hemi went to watch him play. And of course, Hemi wanted to wear his baseball uniform. His ball season is over (wee-ball) and he thinks that everytime there is a ball game he has to get dressed for it.

July 2008

Hi everyone! It's Danielle and Hemi and Nate here in West Monroe, LA. We are all doing great and it is getting pretty hot over here, in the 90's. So, summer is in full swing. Hemi is in school at Early Years, I'm working on my 4th year at Centurytel and Nate is doing great at VanTrow Toyota. We have been working on house projects that keep us busy. And when we are not working on stuff, we are relaxing watching Jetix. Hehe. For those of you that don't know, that is Hemi's favorite TV station they have PowerRangers, Chaotic, Digimon, Spiderman, Superman, Batman, etc. Right now, Spiderman is his definite fav. He has a Spiderman costume that he wears every single time he watches Spiderman. So, we pretty much bum it at the house and love every minute of it. Talk to y'all next time. Luv ya.
